Everyone makes mistakes. Errors in judgment often escalate until a bad situation becomes worse. Adding excessive alcohol or improper drug use into the mix only increases the likelihood of a disaster. Unfortunately, there are times when one bad choice generates more wrong decisions until someone is hurt, arrested, or both.

When everything has gone wrong, and you face assault or other criminal charges in Pennsylvania, it is easy to feel that your life will never be the same. Do not resign yourself to the situation. If you have been arrested, the LLF Law Firm can help.

Pennsylvania Man Allegedly Threatens Woman and Faces Felony Charges

WTAJ reports that police arrested Merle Painter after he allegedly threatened a woman and resisted arrest. In July, a woman approached Johnstown Police Department officers and complained that Painter had threatened to stab her and throw her off a bridge. Officers have stated that Painter resisted their attempts to arrest and search him. Additionally, the police said Painter smelled of alcohol and that they found a bottle of whiskey in his possession.

Painter was charged with felony aggravated assault with an attempt to cause serious bodily injury and flight to avoid apprehension, along with misdemeanor charges, including resisting arrest and terroristic threats.
