Philadelphia Woman Confesses to Running Gun Trafficking Network

Posted by Joseph D. Lento | Mar 16, 2025 | 0 Comments

A Philadelphia Woman, Bella Skylar Kenna, 22, just cut ties with her boyfriend—but not before helping him run a multi-county gun and drug trafficking ring. Prosecutors say she played a key role in illegally buying and selling firearms while dealing meth, fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana. Now, she's pleaded guilty to a long list of felony charges, including firearms offenses and drug distribution. Between January 2023 and April 2024, Kenna allegedly purchased or recruited others to buy weapons for the operation led by her ex, Scott Michael Grondin.

Why did Grondin make his girlfriend buy the guns? Because he couldn't—his past put him on the wrong side of the law.

Most criminal cases don't operate on this scale. But if you're caught in this or any type of legal battle, don't face it alone. The LLF Law Firm Team is here to defend your rights and help you navigate the road ahead. Our experienced team is waiting. Call us at 888.535.3686or fill out our confidential consultation form.

Love Gone Wrong?

What was Bella Skylar Kenna's story? Was she the Bonnie to his Clyde? Was she a pawn turned canary? District Attorney Robert Joseph Waeltz Jr. summarized the details:

Kenna admitted that she and her then-boyfriend Scott Grondin solicited other individuals, who were lawfully able to purchase firearms, to purchase firearms on behalf of Scott Grondin and his organization for the sole purpose of unlawfully selling them, for money, on the streets of Philadelphia and surrounding counties…It's tough to say exactly why she did it—maybe greed, maybe the lifestyle, or maybe just the thrill of it all.

Kenna remains in county jail without bail. She faces up to 40 years behind bars. As her sentence inches closer, one thing's for certain: she wasn't just smuggling guns; she was smuggling her future into a dark corner.
