Registered Sex Offender Sentenced to Over 21 Years in Prison for Trafficking Minors

Posted by Joseph D. Lento | Feb 24, 2025 | 0 Comments

A registered sex offender from Camden, NJ, has been sentenced to 21 years and 8 months in prison for trafficking three minors between Philadelphia and New Jersey to engage in commercial sex acts.

Semaj A. Gilmore, 34, has been on the registered sex offenders list since 2017 when he was convicted of criminal sexual contact with a minor. He was also previously arrested for offenses spanning from September 2020 through April 2021, when an undercover investigation found him advertising a missing child from Pennsylvania for prostitution.

It can be difficult for individuals like Gilmore to get a fair trial, as previous convictions can unfairly tip the scales of justice. This is especially true when the allegations involve crimes of a sexual nature or are otherwise particularly scandalous. A person's reputation can be permanently ruined well before they have their chance to prove their innocence in court.

In such a case, the LLF Law Firm's Criminal Defense Team is your best bet for protecting your reputation and defending your rights. Call us today at 888.535.3686 or contact us online to learn how we can help with your case.
